A little about me

Welcome!

I'm 22 years old and a student at Regent University here in Virginia Beach, Virginia, studying Organizational Leadership. I am from the sate of Washington; born and raised. I miss parts of home, like latte stands where the barista knows how you like your cup o' Joe, or mountains in the distance to be able to judge North from East and five blocks from 10 miles. Although, Virginia is not like where I am from I love it just the same. People are a thousand times nicer here, and they look you in the eye when they talk to you.

I have one brother. He's 17 and about to graduate High School. My mom is a pastor and my dad a drug detective. No sins or crimes allowed at our household. Ha ha. Other than I have a very large extended family, and I am extremely close to my Gma (Grandma).

A Year of Change.

I can remember at this time last year I had a whole other plan for my life. I was going to attend a local University in Washington after finishing some general requirements at the community college. I was going to continue to work at the church I grew up with along side my volunteers and teammates. Sounded like a great plan to me! However, God had other plans, and I can say now, better plans.

I now am a student at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and for the first time am enjoying school. Oh my, I must be corrupted, I like school. I have never hated school, but have never been motivated and felt this kind of joy for education like I do now.

This year has a whole new path than last year. It's not my path, its His. I have no idea where it's going, but it will be an adventure.

Happy 2009!
