I'm 22 years old and a student at Regent University here in Virginia Beach, Virginia, studying Organizational Leadership. I am from the sate of Washington; born and raised. I miss parts of home, like latte stands where the barista knows how you like your cup o' Joe, or mountains in the distance to be able to judge North from East and five blocks from 10 miles. Although, Virginia is not like where I am from I love it just the same. People are a thousand times nicer here, and they look you in the eye when they talk to you.I have one brother. He's 17 and about to graduate High School. My mom is a pastor and my dad a drug detective. No sins or crimes allowed at our household. Ha ha. Other than I have a very large extended family, and I am extremely close to my Gma (Grandma).
Wow, you really are a long way from home! I really enjoy reading blogs from students who are excited to be studying what they're studying and are excited about Regent. I've waited a long time to start this trek into education and so I share your enthusiasm completely.
